On Wednesday morning, September 13, employees of the Kebab Factory in the same building as the Ulu Mosque received a man at the counter who said he had placed a package containing poisonous liquid in the mosque. The man ran away when he saw the police coming. After firing a warning shot and using an electroshock weapon, the Utrechter was arrested. After investigation, the suspicious package turned out not to be an explosive, but a fake bomb.
