The action RPG Elden Ring is known for its crisp difficulty level. In particular, the boss fight against Malenia, Miquella’s blade, presented players with a challenge. A die-hard fan made it his mission to conquer Malenia and became a community legend in the process. Now he faces his craziest challenge yet.
What kind of player is this? In April 2022, a mysterious player took the Elden Ring community by storm. Half-naked and with a jug on his head, he helped others in their fight against Malenia. His name “Let Me Solo Her” said it all: players were allowed to sit back while he took down the dreaded boss alone.
In total, Let Me Solo is said to have done Her Malenia several thousand times. A feat for which he was rewarded with a real sword by publisher Bandai Namco (via Twitter).

What challenge is he facing now? Let Me Solo Her is facing a particularly nasty challenge on his YouTube channel: He wants to play through the Elden Ring, but every single opponent is Malenia.
Let Me Solo Her is broadcasting the adventurous project live on its YouTube channel. Mods that replace opponents aren’t necessarily new, and were already spreading in 2022. Given the personal vendetta Let Me Solo Her has against Malenia, there’s arguably no more apt player for this version of the Elden Ring.
Although the scantily clad hero is a real expert at defeating Miquella’s blade, he tried to avoid confrontation at the very beginning of his project.

Spectators are already planning the next diabolical challenge. Maybe the NPCs and traders could appear as Malenia and you would have to fight them first to unlock their quests or shops. Or how about a “Malenia Only” run, where you can’t get hit once (via YouTube)?
