If you start with League of Legends, you will currently be overwhelmed by 168 champions. There are some that may not be considered particularly good, but can cause major problems for beginners. The Reddit community explains which champions these are.
League of Legends has a reputation for being a difficult game for beginners. If you’ve never played a MOBA before, you’ll have to learn the complex mechanics and, on top of that, there are countless champions with their own abilities.
What are noob stompers? Every LoL player often has their own nemesis, but there are also well-known champions who are considered so-called noob stompers. These are the champions that beginners in particular have problems against. The community explains which ones they are in a Reddit thread.
A 67-year-old LoL player has made it his mission to take action against smurfers:
Which champions do noobs have the most problems against?
In a Reddit thread, user Pumba_La_Pumba asks which champions fit the noob stomper archetype. He tells his own story, because as a new LoL player he had big problems with Heimerdinger, who he banned every match for a long time. Heimerdinger is difficult for beginners mainly because of his towers and playing around them.
Another champion who was strong last season is Trundle. User Wonwill430 simply says of him: This champion requires absolutely no intelligence to control him. And that is exactly the highlight of the Troll King. According to the motto: blunt is trump, you don’t have complex mechanics. You just hit it. He is also compared to Darius, who is also strong. But Trundle has the advantage that his abilities make him strong even when he is actually losing.
Another hated champion that beginners might have trouble with is Shaco. Captain_Vimes finds that players who don’t understand vision and overextending have a lot of trouble with the champion, who is just annoying with his invisibility.
Another champion to use when you climb the ranks a bit is Zed. Capek95 just says that the more he sees Zed, the more traumatized he becomes. His shadows and the ability to swap with them is a difficult technique for beginners and hard to anticipate.
Other champions that are discussed in this topic are Evelynn, Sett and Illaoi. The latter in particular made my LoL life hell for a long time. If you can’t dodge very well, her E ability is an invincible wall.
Another champion I personally see is Blitzcrank. He doesn’t have many options, but his fast hook causes panic among many beginners. Which champions terrorized you as a beginner? Write to us in the comments. One particular champion was intended for beginners, but is hardly noticed these days: LoL: Naafiri was supposed to be the perfect champion for beginners – now hardly anyone plays her.
