Newhart broke through as a stand-up comedian in the late 1950s and during the 1970s and 1980s had great success with sitcoms on American television.
Newhart has also appeared in a number of films such as “Moment 22” from 1970 and “Elf” from 2003. He provided the voice of the character Bernard in the original version of the Disney film “Bernarnd and Bianca” from 1977. In recent years he has been seen on television -series “The big bang theory”.
Bob Newhart was 94 years old.
