Big in other countries • “A bit like a board game – that’s why I like it”
The program concept that was a big hit internationally is now coming to Sweden.
On Wednesday, “The Floor Sweden” premieres on Kanal 5 and Max.
As the presenter, we see comedian Anders Jansson.
– There is a strategic element to it, a bit like a board game. That’s why I like it, says Anders Jansson in “Nyhetsmorgon”.
The new entertainment program “The Floor Sweden” is coming to Kanal 5 and Max this autumn. In it, we see 100 participants competing for one million kroner on a huge LED floor. The one who leads the contestants and viewers through it is the comedian Anders Jansson, and his sidekick Erik Ekstrand.
– There is a strategic element to it, a bit like a board game. That’s why I like it, says Anders Jansson, who during the morning was a guest on Nyhetsmorgon.
In other countries, the concept has become a hit with viewers. It is originally a Dutch program concept that has also been made in the USA and France. The program took a total of seven days to shoot down in the Netherlands where the huge studio with LED floors is located.
– That’s where the floor is. It would have been so difficult to move it to Solna and to train ten Swedes on this floor. The Dutch know this. But we were sort of in Solna but in Holland, says Anders.
– There are a hundred competitors and giant screens. It was pretty cool and fun, he continues.
Then The Floor Sweden premieres
In each program, there are seven who go out and the tactics to stay there look different.
– It is quite exciting to follow in the program series, who is staying. Because they have slightly different tactics. There is someone who just stands there and doesn’t want to be challenged in anything, and they manage. You know, like at a bad pre-party, someone who just hides in the corner, explains Anders.
The Floor Sweden premieres on Wednesday, September 4.
