The man wanted to hand in a suspected explosive device. This led to Mölndal’s police station south of Gothenburg having to be blocked off, reports P4 Gothenburg.
According to P4, the man entered the station to hand in dynamite or nitroglycerin.
The police have now issued a strong recommendation to call the police before bringing in dangerous substances. However, the man is not suspected of any crime.
The police station is cordoned off pending the national bomb disposal.
– It is a precautionary measure, until we know what it is about, says Fredrik Svedemyr, press spokesperson at the police.
