World Tier 4 is currently the highest difficulty level you can play Diablo 4 on. A player who has been playing since launch sees it for the first time – and immediately wants to leave. All the S-tier builds there suck the joy out of him, he says.
What are the difficulties all about?
This is the player’s problem: The user FallenShadeslayer complains on Reddit that World Level 4 is not fun. But that is not because it is too difficult. It is because of the other players.
FallenShadeslayer says he has been playing since release, but has only played in World Tier 3 – and then he always got bored. Now he was on World Tier 4 for the first time and the experience was horrible:
The builds just blast everything in sight. It seems like every player I encounter is playing the exact same build or a variation of it. There is no challenge for me anymore because they kill everything within a nanosecond of spawning.
He still had fun on World Level 3, although nothing offered him a challenge. He could go back there, but would like to continue doing content on World Level 4: “It’s annoying because after I was having absolute fun, I immediately lost the fun.”
The community gives the user hundreds of answers and explains that something like this is logical: The blood maidens in the Helltides in particular are full of people because it is particularly good for farming and leveling up. The players advise him to wait until Season 6, when everything will look completely different.
Season 6 changes how difficulties work
One user advises FallenShadeslayer to leave the game alone until Season 6 starts. That’s because the difficulties will be completely revised. Instead of world levels 1 to 4, there will be difficulty levels Normal to Torment 4.
Since Torment 1-4 in particular can only be unlocked by reaching a certain level in the Pit, it is likely that all S-tier builds will not play together with the “Casuals” in the same difficulty.
Others warn that if the thread creator continues to play, he will eventually become “part of the problem” when he becomes similarly strong. However, one thing that could help is to disable cross-platform play. This reduces the number of players in the area in general. Otherwise, he should focus on solo content such as dungeons, hordes and the pit.
Season 6 starts together with the first expansion Vessel of Hatred on October 8th and brings with it not only the revision of the difficulty levels but also a rework of the level system.
