The French can bring back several medals to the delegation in the climbing events at the 2024 Olympics.
Sport climbing is one of the highlights of this second week with several French medal chances. In the men’s event, we will follow Bassa Mawem in the speed final, qualified by just one hundredth of a second against the Ukrainian Yaroslav Tkach (who nevertheless finished 7th in the semi-finals). The Frenchman will compete in his final in Paris on Thursday, August 8 at 12:54 p.m.
Frenchwoman Oriane Bertone, vice world champion and a great chance of a medal, did the work on the boulder in the combined event by taking second place in the competition for the moment. Zélia Avezou takes 12th place, before the difficulty event on Thursday.
In the men’s combined event, Paul Jenft qualified for the final of the combined event after the difficulty event.
