A new attendance record for a women’s sporting event was set in the United States in Nebraska at a collegiate volleyball match between local rivals Nebraska and Omaha. 92,003 spectators had come to watch the NCAA series game at the American football stadium, where Nebraska won 3-0.
The record attendance at Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium surpassed the attendance record for the 2022 Champions League Final. At that time, 91,648 spectators had gathered to watch the final match between Barcelona and Wolfsburg at Camp Nou.

Nebraska coach John Cook said the varsity students were given time off from classes for the game. He pointed out that only three things have caused the university to be closed.
