The Christian action group Family in Danger started a petition and Wybren van Haga asked parliamentary questions.
After Lammers had retired as a writer of the Children’s Book Week Poem, other writers stepped into the breach for him. An action also arose on social media to support Lammers, among other things by buying his poetry collection.
