Collecting lost items after the Halloween mayhem in Seoul

Shoes, bags, glasses and wallets in neat rows in a sports hall at a high school in

Seoul.

Family members of the victims, and survivors were allowed to go into small groups to see if they recognized any of the hundreds of items lost in the chaos and commotion where 156 young people died.

A national week of mourning has been declared in South Korea and police have admitted they could have done more to prevent Saturday’s Halloween celebrations from turning into one of the country’s deadliest disasters ever.
