Collared iguanas

Collared iguanas are not often seen in Dutch zoos. They are native to deserts in North and South America. They are predatory animals, preying on lizards as large as themselves.

They grow to be about 15 centimeters, excluding the approximately equal-long start. The small animals can reach a speed of up to 25 kilometers per hour.
