Sales growth this year is now estimated at the higher end of the range of 1–4 percent, and in terms of organic growth, Colgate-Palmolive raises the forecast to plus 5–7 percent this year.
For the second quarter, net sales rose 5.3 percent to $4.48 billion, which was slightly higher than expected. Adjusted operating profit fell to 72 cents per share, which was also marginally above expectations.
