Henny van Ommeren (74) has long passed retirement age, but is still working full-time every day. Together with her husband Jaap and a few others, she is the driving force behind the collection of the Renswoude helps Ukraine work group. “And this fourth transport is full of stuff for the winter such as sturdy shoes, warm blankets, mattresses, thick clothing and generators. We hear from our contacts that there is a great need for this now that it is getting colder. This week I did my shopping for Ukraine at the local supermarket for 4500 euros. Especially a lot of food, but also 300 euros in paracetamol. Well, that’s fun shopping I can tell you.”
