Arch-rivals Milan and Inter settle for a place in the Champions League final. And Inter made a shock opening in the Milan derby – with two goals in just over ten minutes, they were able to take an early grip on the first semi-final away from home.
– It’s a chicken coop in the Milan defense, says C-More expert Kim Källström.
After just seven minutes of play in the first semi-final, Edin Dzeko – on the volley – was able to make it 1-0 for Inter.
– An incredible meeting with the left. I have a little doubt that it was Davide Calabria who marked Dzeko, as they don’t really meet each other physically, says C More’s expert Olof Mellberg.
A few minutes later, three to be more specific, it was time again. This time it was the Armenian Henrich Mkhitarjan’s turn.
“A match that Inter could kill”
After a fine play from Federico Dimarco, he was able to run past Milan’s defense and score 2-0 for Inter.
– It’s a chicken coop in the Milan defense. This is a match that Inter was able to kill, says Kim Källström.
In the second half, Milan chased a reduction. But they got no closer than Sandro Tonali’s stone-hard shot against the post.
The match ended 2-0 and the return will be played next Tuesday, May 16.
