The Rijkswaterstaat gritters were busy last night. Since 7 p.m. on Sunday, more than 4.6 million kilos of salt have been spread throughout the country. Rijkswaterstaat had 577 gritters ready last night to combat slippery conditions. Since October 1, 2023, more than 34 million kilos of salt have been spread in the Netherlands by RWS, and the gritters have traveled more than 483,000 kilometers.
