CoD: Warzone is a game that allows for many different tactics in the professional sector. At tournaments, you often see impressive plays. In a qualifier for a $1 million tournament, the player Shifty won with an incredible play.
What happened? The WSOW Qualifiers took place on June 19th. Those who perform here will get a place in the global final, which has a prize pool of 1 million US dollars (around €930,000). The team that manages to reach first place in the final will then receive 300,000 US dollars (via Dot Esports).
The final of the NA 1 million dollar qualifier saw the well-known player Shifty compete with his two teammates Biffle and Hisoka. At the end of the match, things weren’t looking so good for Shifty, but he made an impressive move that allowed him to win.
There are big icons in many e-sports scenes, but even they can no longer keep up at some point. That also happened to a Counter-Strike legend: A legendary Counter-Strike player did not take part in one of the most important tournaments for the first time in 11 years
How did he play? You can watch the entire match on Warzone Nation on YouTube. From around 21:40 you can see how the zone is reduced to its final point. Shifty, who is the only one of his team still alive at that point, is inside the gas.
If he runs to the zone now, he would probably die. But he basically runs away from the zone to a point marked by his teammate. There is a truck there. He just about survives the journey to the truck and throws a PDS field at it, which allows him to drive the truck for a while without taking damage.
He then drives the truck into the zone and runs over two players. He then drives out of the zone briefly and kills the last player outside the zone. This wins his team the qualifier for the big tournament.
The play was also celebrated by the commentators and viewers. Shifty is considered one of the best Warzone players. The team of Shifty, Hisoka and Biffle is already considered the favorite team. In CoD there are regular crossovers for operator and weapon skins. However, a current bundle does not satisfy the players: The new crossover of Call of Duty and Fallout manages to make fans of both games unhappy
