Call of Duty Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 have already released some extraordinary collaborations in 2023. After “The Boys” characters and Nicki Minaj, the focus in October will be on demons. There will be a suitable shotgun for this.
What kind of shotgun is that? Almost 30 years ago, in 1994 to be precise, Doom 2 was released. The iconic shooter’s luggage included a double-barreled shotgun, the “Super Shotgun”.
In Doom 2, the shotgun helped in the role of Space Marine to fight against demons who escaped from Hell through a portal and consequently walked the Earth. The Super Shotgun is now supposed to perform a similar task in CoD – including old-school animation when reloading.
A clip on x.com (formerly Twitter) shows what the Super Shotgun in CoD should look like:
When is the shotgun available in CoD? A blueprint of the Super Shotgun will be available in CoD Warzone and Modern Warfare 2 as part of a Doom bundle from October 9th, with the “The Haunting” event of Season 6.
You can see a trailer for the multiplayer maps that were added to MW2 with Season 6 here:
Bundle also brings iconic chainsaw from Doom
What else is included in the Doom bundle? In addition to the legendary shotgun blueprint, the Doom bundle in CoD will also include a Doom chainsaw blueprint, which you can use as a melee weapon.
There will also be a Doom loading screen, matching emblems, stickers and a Doomguy gun screen. Here you can see an overview of all bundle content:
With the Super Shotgun from Doom against Diablo 4’s Lilith
It has been known since the end of September that with Season 6 of CoD, two important characters from the popular hack’n’slay Diablo will be joining the shooter: Inarius and Lilith will be available as a skin bundle for CoD MW2 and Warzone.
So from Season 6 onwards you can use a shotgun, which was intended to fight demons in Doom 2, to compete against the two protagonists from Diablo 4: Inarius, a fallen archangel, and Lilith, the daughter of Mephisto and queen of the succubi.
