In Call of Duty: Warzone 2, players can now join enemy squads through a simple function. MeinMMO tells you how it works.

The time has come, Season 1 of CoD Modern Warfare 2 is here and Warzone 2 is online too.

Several hours before the originally announced release, you can already form a squad with your friends and throw yourself onto the battlefield of the long-awaited battle royale shooter – but you can’t just play together with your friends.

As the online magazine CharlieIntel reports on Twitter, it should also be possible in Warzone 2 to join an opposing squad. CoD fans on reddit describe the new feature with the simple motto: “If you can’t defeat your opponents, join them.”

Warzone doesn’t just use emotes to dance

How can I join opponents? You can join an opposing team in Warzone 2 using the emote wheel. Accordingly, there is the option “Request to join an enemy squad” (English: request to join enemy squad).

If the opposing squad accepts your request, you are then a member of their squad. The feature should work the other way around as well: an enemy player can request to join your squad and your team has the option to accept or decline the request.

For the first time, the feature offers the possibility of joining opponents via the emote wheel. Emotes are used in most games, for example, to perform dances or to greet other players with gestures.
