CoD MW2 & Warzone 2: New movement technology looks “affig”.

Last minute The world stood up after Putins decision in

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 have banned advanced movement techniques like slide-cancel. Since then, players have been looking for other techniques to gain an advantage. And with the G-Walk they discovered something crazy.

Sliding is less powerful than last year, and bunny hopping has also been heavily nerfed in Modern Warfare 2. The latest generation of Call of Duty should only bring few advantages if you master certain movement techniques.

However, CoD MW2 and Warzone 2 offer many actions that can be combined with each other. If the transitions of these actions are a little bit messy from a technical point of view, players often find ways to combine them.

So there was a technique in the beta of CoD MW2 to perform a slide cancel. The gap was closed with the full release, but now a new move has emerged that’s even more powerful than the slide cancel – the G-Walk.

Movement technique scores with fast actions

What is this technique? The G-Walk somehow combines crouching with jumping and sliding. The result is reminiscent of the movements of a gorilla. But see for yourself:

The crazy jumps allow you to make quick and unexpected changes of direction. In addition, you move faster than in normal running. At the moment it seems pretty “OP” – overpowered and too strong compared to the normal movement.

How does the trick work? That is currently still unclear. The discoverers want to bring a tutorial online as soon as possible on how to do the G-Walk with mouse & keyboard and controller. Apparently this should be pretty “tricky” with a controller and easier to implement with a mouse and keyboard.

We will keep you up to date on the subject. Currently, the assumption is that you have to hold down the crouch button and then “sprint” again and again while the automatic tactical sprint is activated.

The developers have made it clear that advanced movement techniques should play a smaller role in the future. It remains to be seen how those responsible will react to the G-Walk – if the trick spreads, a nerf is also possible.
