When is mid-season coming? Mid-Season 1 starts on December 14 at 7 p.m. German time.

How big is the update? It is currently not possible to say for sure. Due to the previously known content, an update should not be larger than 5 GB.

Is there a preload? Call of Duty often offers a preload for its major updates. So far, however, there is no information on this. However, update 1.12 can already be found in the PlayStation database (via twitter.com).

    CoD MW2 & Warzone 2: Mid-Season 1 – Content

What does Mid-Season 1 offer? Below we list the changes and innovations that are known so far and give you details on the points below:

  • Double XP event to start
  • New weapon: Chimera
  • PvE content: The first CoD raid
  • New map for MW2: Shipment
  • Gameplay stats for Warzone 2
  • Warzone Cup & Mini Royale
  • New area for DMZ – Building 21
  • Social Feature: Groups
  • balancing changes
  • New cosmetics
  • The information comes from the official CoD blog. However, a roadmap with the content in the overview cannot be found.

The new weapon can either be bought or unlocked. It’s not certain yet, but hints indicate that you’ll have to unlock the weapon again in DMZ mode – just like the M13B.

The CoD blog provides the following description: “With the integrated silencer and the slow, high-energy .300 BLK subsonic rounds, the Chimera is ideally suited for close combat. The subsonic rounds hide the kill icons from the enemy team.

The Chimera is part of the Bruen Ops platform and is reminiscent of the Honey Badger weapon.

  • PvE Content: The First CoD Raid (MW2)
  • CoD continues to expand its portfolio of PvE content and tries a raid for the first time. These are crisp 3-player activities with tough opponents and puzzles that are designed to last several hours.

You must have purchased Modern Warfare 2 and complete a challenge each week to play the raids. Here are a few details and we include the trailer for the raid here:

  • New map for MW2: Shipment
  • The multiplayer of MW2 gets map replenishment and after Shoot House had already come at the start of the season, Shipment moves up in the mid-season.

You can also expect a new playlist with Shipment. Either “Shoot the Ship” with both small maps or “Shipment 24/7” are conceivable.

  • Gameplay stats for Warzone 2
  • A menu with your Warzone stats is finally coming with Mid-Season 1. However, the developers have already announced that your stats will only count once the system is in-game. Your previous achievements will not be counted.

  • Warzone Cup & Mini Royale
  • The Mini-Royale returns in Mid-Season 1. Warzone matches start with a smaller playing field and fewer players. The endgame of the Battle Royale starts much earlier and such matches generally bring more action.

A crazy Rocket League mode is also coming to Warzone 2 – you play football in the stadium of Al Mazrah with Warzone vehicles. The vehicles come with boost and can even defend themselves.

  • New area for DMZ – Building 21
  • There is a new building on the DMZ map, including that of Warzone 2. Building 21 is a hidden bio lab and is said to be extremely heavily guarded. Only the strongest Operators manage to elicit its secrets and loot.

From Mid-Season 1 onwards, groups can be created via the social menu, through which you can find fellow players. Up to 5,000 players can get together in such a group. Groups can set their interests and so players who like to be in the same content can gather.

There will be changes to the weapons and different gadgets. Some mechanics have already been deactivated because they were too strong and partly broken – including the bomb drone in Warzone 2. But the “Top View” perk is also OP.

It is not possible to say with certainty which direction the balancing will take.

New operators are coming into play, including the 141 soldier “Gaz”. But you can also expect new food for the in-game shop.

Until then, let us know if you’re having a good time in the game and what you wish for in the future.
