Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the most successful CoD title to date – CoD MW 2019. The setting is set in our time, the story revolves around cartels, terror and the iconic operators of the “Modern Warfare” series.

When does Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer start? Multiplayer is online on consoles and starts at 6 a.m. on PC.
When can I download MW2? For PC, there is a preload on Steam and in the Battle.net launcher.
How big is the download? The version for PS5 is the smallest at release with around 63 GB, the one on the PC is the largest at around 72 GB. However, an update before release could increase these numbers.
However, you can save disk space by downloading only certain parts of the game. On PlayStation, you’ll save about 20GB by not downloading the campaign. Here you can find more details about the preload and download.
CoD MW2: Content – Campaign, Multiplayer & Spec-Ops
Campaign: The MW2 story campaign went online on October 20th. Digital pre-orders were then allowed to run. That’s why there is already a lot of information about the story – you can find reactions here:

Spec Ops: CoD MW2’s co-op mode goes back to its roots and offers a duo experience. Together with a fellow player you solve missions under time pressure or you have to survive as long as possible.

CoD MW2: Season 1 – Warzone 2.0 & Raids
What happens after release? The first two weeks is a “pre-season” in MW2 without a Battle Pass. It goes online with Season 1. The date for the mid-season is already known:
Season 1: The new Warzone 2.0 goes online together with the first season. More information about the new Battle Royale can be found here. There is also fresh content for the multiplayer mode (maps, modes, weapons), the first Battle Pass and new missions for the Spec Ops mode.
Mid Season 1: PvE raids come into play as another highlight. In teams of 3, you should eliminate opponents, solve puzzles and thus continue the story of MW2.
