CoD Black Ops 6 has too many cheaters, now the developers admit that their anti-cheat is to blame

There are currently a lot of cheaters in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. In an update, the developers have now made an admission.

What problems are there currently in CoD Black Ops 6? There are currently a lot of complaints about cheaters in the latest part of Call of Duty. All game modes are affected, but especially Ranked Play, the mode in which players fight for a ranking position.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 uses the in-house anti-cheat system Ricochet, which is supposed to exclude cheaters. Now, however, the developers are reaching out to players with sobering news.

Anti-Cheat “didn’t hit the mark”

What do the developers say? The Call of Duty developers have contacted players with an anti-cheat update. In the article, the developers report that their Ricochet anti-cheat system worked well during the launch period. The development team then focused on preparing for Season 1.

However, the problems began with the first season. Ranked mode in particular, in which many players play for fame and honor, has become an attractive target for cheaters. Here, the cheaters mainly met streamers and other influential players from the community who made the problem public.

Even though the developers are always trying to improve the anti-cheat, they admit in the update (via callofduty.com) that they “didn’t hit the mark when integrating RICOCHET Anti-Cheat at the start of Season 01 – especially for Ranked Play.”

The developers are missing their goal and are allowing their weak anti-cheat to be to blame for the fact that there are currently so many cheaters in CoD Black Ops 6 who are allowed to play for long periods of time with impunity.

What measures are the developers taking against the cheaters? So far, the developers have taken a number of measures against the cheaters. In their update (via callofduty.com) they list the following:
