Coca Cola recalls large amounts of soda

Several media reports that the popular Läsk brand Coca-Cola recalls several of its soft drinks. The reason is that the soda should contain high levels of the chemical chlorinated.

Coca-Cola recall soda in large parts of Europe

The soda has been recalled in Belgium, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Luxembourg.

The soft drinks affected are the brands Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Tropico and Minute Maid, reported BBC.

It happens if you get too much chlorinated

Chlorine is a chemical that can be produced when chlorine -based disinfectants are used in water purification and food processing.

Exposed to high levels of chlorine can cause health problems and thyroid problems, especially among children, according to BBC. Symptoms of getting too much chlorine is nausea, vomiting and diarrhea.

Exactly how large the amount is recalled is unclear, but according to Coca-Cola it should be a “large amount”. Sweden is not mentioned in the information about the revocation.
