Two thirds of the 6th and final season of Cobra Kai is already available on Netflix. Part 3 will go online on the streaming service in 2025 and concludes the karate dramedy. The two Frienemy stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka are already telling you what you have to be prepared for.
“Unexpected, uplifting and honest”: This is how the Cobra Kai stars describe the end of the Netflix series
The final season of Cobra Kai revolves around the international card tournament Sekai Taikai and had dramatic twists and surprises in the first two parts. Under the umbrella of Sony Pictures Entertainment, the two leads, who were established as rivals 40 years ago in Karate Kid, spoke about the remaining consequences (via Variety). Macchio said something like:
You have to be down to the ground to get back up, and we’re kind of at that point right now. I’m very excited about it. It is designed to be that great ending to an 80s film encompasses and I have a feeling we will find it and move on.
Zabka said it was the right time to end the series properly and continued with the following statement:
[Den Produzenten] lands in a way that is unexpected, uplifting and honest… It’s a great ending for everyone and we are very grateful that we had six seasons to tell the whole story.
Most recently, Cobra Kai broke some taboos in season 6 by not only letting one of the young characters die, but also bringing back the legendary mentor Mr. Miyagi (long deceased: Pat Morita) via CGI flashback.
