There’s one show you can’t miss on Netflix this weekend: Cobra Kai. The Karate Kid spin-off originally started out as a YouTube Red self-production before, after two rounds switched to Netflix. Now the streaming service is showing the 5th season of the audience’s favorite with Ralph Macchio and William Zabka. This time, the Cobra Kai will be expanded into a karate empire full of brutal fighters.
In addition, in the past few days, two special films have sneaked into the streaming service’s program, which we would like to recommend separately. First there is The Farewell by Lulu Wang. The tragic comedy starring Awkwafina in tells of a touching family gathering with a twist: the family is not allowed to tell the dying grandmother that she is dying.

No less heartbreaking is the story of a little boy who along with his balloon walks through the streets of Paris and experiences one or the other adventure. With The Red Balloon, Albert Lamorisse directed a wonderful short film that enchants for 34 minutes. But be careful: for some reason, Netflix searches only show it under the original French title: Le Ballon Rouge.
