In Utrecht, the main question is whether BBB, the big winner of the Provincial Council elections, will join the board. BBB has 7 seats, the same number as GroenLinks, which received slightly fewer votes. 25 seats are needed for a majority in the Utrecht provincial house. They can already have GroenLinks (7), VVD (6), D66 (5), CDA (4) and PvdA (3) without BBB. If indeed a BBB-less coalition is made, the other five parties will avoid having to conduct complicated negotiations about nitrogen, the BBB’s spearhead.
