A first trailer recently proved that the Minecraft film really does exist. Big stars like Jack Black (Borderlands) and Jason Momoa (Aquaman) are on board for the bizarre film adaptation of the video game hit. The latter, however, is said to have been replaced on set by very unfriendly, angry behavior have been noticed.
Streamer talks about Jason Momoa misconduct on Minecraft set
Successful American Twitch streamer Rachell Hofstetter, better known as Valkyrae, has a cameo in the upcoming Minecraft movie. Speaking to her colleague Jason WEEN, a clip of which was shared on X, she revealed a rather unpleasant experience with co-star Momoa.
When the streamer asked her who she thought was a real asshole, she mentioned his name because of her experience on set:
I saw him some of the crew members were treated badly and that was quite disappointing, it was after a very intense scene, so maybe he was still in character…[…] He was just really mad at them because they hadn’t done something right, like preparing the hiring, he was just really angry and shouting. I thought, this is not a good working environment, I wouldn’t like to work under these conditions. […]

Jason Momoa is also said to have attracted negative attention during filming of Aquaman 2
This is not the first time that negative set reports have surfaced in connection with Momoa. Last year, parts of actress Amber Heard’s 2021 therapy sessions were released, including those relating to the Aquaman: Lost Kingdom shoot.
Here Momoa always drunk and deliberately dressed like Johnny Depp appeared on set. The star is also said to have demanded that Heard be fired. DC denied these allegations at the time.
It remains to be seen whether Momoa or Minecraft officials will comment on the new negative statements regarding the game adaptation.
When will the Minecraft movie be released in cinemas?
Fans of the original and all other curious people will have to wait until 3 April 2025 Then the Minecraft film will be released in German cinemas.
