The combination of work and menopause is difficult for almost three quarters of women with menopausal complaints. This is evident from CNV research among 4,500 women between the ages of 45 and 65. 17 percent of women with menopausal complaints even suffered a burnout as a result. The union warns that if employers do nothing, the Netherlands will get stuck as many women work in crucial professions such as healthcare and education.
