(Finance) – CNA Agri-Food and Other Agriculture – Confederation for Food Sovereigntyand have signed a collaboration agreement today. It was signed by Francesca Petrini, national president of CNA Agroalimentare, and Gianni Fabbris, honorary president of Altragricoltura-Confederation for food sovereignty.
The agreement – explains the note – is aimed at recomposing the interests of farmers, breeders, fishermen with those of artisanal processors, small distributors, small businesses in the agri-food chain and to promote the broadest alliance of companies with user citizens.
His goal is to give representation to a project which, to get out of the current crisis, address agri-food in terms of reorganization of supply chains and communities. Reorganization that must guarantee income to producers, rights to workers, safe and guaranteed nutrition for citizens based on local and artisanal food produced ensuring well-being and environmental quality.
The companies – we read – “they must be helped to free themselves from ties and snares which impede its development and relieved from the effects of a crisis induced by an agri-food system that needs to be profoundly reformed. We need to restore dignity to those who work on the land and in the sea and to the many artisanal processors on the basis of choices oriented towards agro-ecological conversion”.
In the coming weeks, by virtue of this agreement, CNA Agroalimentare and Altragricoltura-Confederation for food sovereignty – concludes the note – “they undertake to involve in their initiative the subjects interested in change and the common project by deploying proposals that are up to the great demand for reform that is also rising in recent days from the initiatives against the crisis”.
