Alderman Klaas Verschuure (D66) is not happy with the alternatives. The places where both the PvdA and GroenLinks want to build as compensation have remained empty in the plan because of an agreement with the coffee factory of Douwe Egberts. That factory causes noise and odor nuisance. By keeping those places empty, the nuisance is limited. In order to build there anyway, the alderman has to discuss it again with the coffee roaster.
