It would be a big problem for the village if the school were to close, says Termaat. “It is a very small village, there is not much except a church and a school,” she describes. She came to live there almost ten years ago because of the primary school. Her three children could all go there by bike. “I don’t want to go back and forth by car all the time,” she explains.
