Son of a French teacher mother and an industrial designer father, Tadej Pogacar is close to his parents. If he played football before imitating his brother Tilan and taking up cycling, the Slovenian remains close to his family with whom he exchanges regularly as his mother Marjeta told our colleagues from The Team : “ He only comes home one week a year, confides his mother. We hardly ever call each other: we exchange by WhatsApp, because I don’t want to distract him. I always say: no news is good news. This suits Tadej, who has always been a very relaxed boy. When he cleans his bike, when he mows the lawn… What I preferred, when he was still living with us, was to sit down and have breakfast with him. He transmitted his calm to me. He gave the whole family peace and joy of life.”
