Candy company Cloetta is now stopping selling one of its iconic chocolate boxes.
– It’s really bad that they didn’t inform before they removed it, says a person who The Express talked to.

Big disappointment among consumers
The arch-shaped chocolate with orange flavor, also known as Roman arches, has been available in boxes on the market since 1951, but not anymore – Cloetta has sold out of the last boxes.
One of Cloetta’s customers discovered this when he tried to order a box via a few different websites and was met with the same message everywhere – the item had been sold out.
– It is terribly sad as I have always received this box as a Christmas gift, but not this year, he says to Expressen.
After the discovery, he contacted Cloetta’s customer service, who replied that the product had been discontinued due to low demand. The last boxes were issued before Christmas and have now run out in many stores.
“There simply weren’t enough people buying the product for us to keep it,” Cloetta wrote in an email.

Will be available in bulk
The box with Roman arches will disappear, but the chocolate will still be available for purchase in bulk, that means Sophie Viebke who works at Cloetta.
“We have seen that consumers are increasingly choosing to buy Roman bows in bulk and the demand for the box itself has decreased. Therefore, the decision has been made to only sell the product in our bulk range, and Roman bows on box will be removed from the range in connection with the food industry’s launch window week 7”, writes Sofi in a message to Expressen.
However, Cloetta has been criticized for not informing its customers in time. A customer suggests that in that case there would have been a chance to bunker up.
