At 89, Clint Eastwood remains a very active actor and director with a busy personal life. Here’s everything you (maybe) didn’t know about this Hollywood legend.
He was discovered in a military camp
Clint Eastwood was born in Oakland, Connecticut. In 1950, he did his military service at Fort Ord camp during the Korean War. Having qualified as a lifeguard, he did not go to the front and became a swimming instructor at the camp. This is also where Universal Pictures organized the screening of its films before their release. It was in these circumstances that Clint Eastwood was spotted, apparently thanks to his good looks. He signed a contract with the company in 1954.
