The prosecutor had requested that the detention take place with certain restrictions, such as that the man may not receive visitors or use electronic communication, which the district court also approved.
The incident happened during the night of Monday and a witness first saw the man climb into the home of a woman through an open window. The man was then seen leaving the apartment again and was kept under surveillance while waiting for the police to arrive and arrest him.
The woman was taken to hospital after the incident.
Charges must be filed by August 2 at the latest.
