With a global average of 15.10°C over one year, the year 2024 is the hottest year ever recorded since data began in 1850, beating the record of 2023, the European Copernicus Observatory announced on Friday. It is also the first time that a calendar year has exceeded 1.5°C above the temperature of the pre-industrial era.
