Climate change, Snam at the top of CDP’s Suppliers Engagement Rating

Climate change Snam at the top of CDPs Suppliers Engagement

(Finance) – Snam it has also been confirmed as leader in 2023 Suppliers Engagement Rating (SER) by CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project), which evaluates companies for their involvement providers in contrast to climate change, obtaining the score “A”. A recognition that follows the recent inclusion of the company, for the third consecutive year, in the CDP “A List” for its commitment and transparency in pursuing the objectives of decarbonisation and net zero.
The SER evaluates companies based on their responses companies to four areas of the CDP climate questionnaire: governance, goals, ambitionmanagement of Scope 3 emissions through the involvement of the supply chain, rewarding those that have stood out the most, along the entire value chain, in the adoption of sustainable practices with the lowest environmental impact, playing a crucial role in the transition towards a sustainable economy with net zero emissions.

This result adds to the results of the “Call4Partner – Sustainable Supply Chain”, launched in May 2023 during the Supplier Convention “Safety, sustainability and efficiency. Together we can”, which saw the presentation of over 45 projects and over 86 partners involved.

The Call was open to all the actors of the supply chain and fully reflects the company’s commitment to tackling sustainability challenges with innovation, to share concrete initiatives and solutions to achieve decarbonisation targets.

In fact, there were 159 initiatives sustainable shared that find application in the fields of circular economy, sustainable mobility, product life cycle and energy efficiency; numbers that represent the relevance for the partners involved to implement their own decarbonisation initiatives, in full alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN and with Snam’s objective of reaching net zero on all emissions (therefore also including Scope 3) by 2050
