Free bus trips during the summer holidays with both LLT and county traffic, Luleå municipality will offer this to all children and school youth in Luleå this summer.
– This is an important freedom reform for our young people, so that they can go to their leisure activities and meet friends, says Fredrik Hansson (S), municipal councilor.
Hansson also sees the reform as a way to teach children and young people to use public transport.
“The gaps are increasing in society”
Behind the decision on free bus travel are the three partner parties, the Left Party, the Green Party and the Social Democrats.
– We know that young people today have different conditions and that the gaps in society are increasing, says Bertil Bartholdson (V).
To use the free bus journeys, you must be registered in Luleå and born between 2005 and 2017.
