Already then, the Government Offices announced that Brändström, as deputy national security adviser, would so far perform his tasks.
“Annika Brändström has since its inception been a central part of the organization that supports the National Security Council and is now stepping in as acting national security adviser. Annika Brändström will lead the business until a new national security adviser is added,” said Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) in one Press release.
The assignment as acting national security adviser lasts as long as until July 26, 2025.
