Sweden has missed out on the WC final.
Now clear criticism is being directed at Zecira Musovic.

Swedish national team goalkeeper Zecira Musovic has been widely praised during this summer’s football World Cup. When Sweden lined up victories, the Swede had her big international breakthrough and was a key player for Blågult.
Sweden’s loss
Especially against the USA, Musovic played well and lined up some great saves while keeping a clean sheet. But Tuesday’s match against Spain was not as fun for either Sweden or the Swedish goalkeeper.

Admittedly, it was 0-0 for a long time and in the last ten minutes of the match, Musovic was forced to concede two goals, as many as she conceded in the entire tournament before. Now criticism is directed at Zecira Musovic after the tough loss against Spain.

Musovic criticism
It is mainly the second goal that arouses reactions and questions about the national team goalkeeper’s performance. When the Spanish Olga scores the 2-1 winning goal from long range.

But the tone is all the harder in England against Musovic’s goalkeeping efforts.

At home in Sweden, people were more critical of the team’s collective effort in the WC semi-loss against Spain.
– It is so very sad for Sweden. You do well when you settle. A clinical finish by Blomqvist. But Sweden is so seasoned that you shouldn’t concede a goal right after. It will be what remains with one after this semi-final, says the SVT expert Hanna Marklund.
– It’s bad luck for the Swedish girls who I think are doing a very good performance today, says Radiosport’s expert Johan Elmander.
