Claes Moser leaves the Antikrundan in SVT after 29 years: “Clean rubbish”

Claes Moser leaves the Antikrundan in SVT after 29 years

Claes Moser Has been 75 years old. He has been part of the Antikrundan for almost three decades, or since 1996 to be perfectly accurate. But now he throws in the towel and leaves the program.

In 2022, Claes Moser was close to death when his aorta (body pulmonary artery) broke. He miraculously survived – but after the operations and rehab training he did not really have the same energy anymore. Marriage to his younger wife True Evers ended.

– This is the first time I’ve been left. But Sanna says it was all my proposal. It became so clear that we were in different places in life: Sanna likes to meet people, mingle, go on vernissages. I can’t even think about it anymore, says Claes Moser in an interview with the Home Journal.

In the same interview, Claes Moser talks more about the reason why he now chooses to step off SVT’s long -running Antikrundan, which he thinks is a “big circus”. Claes Moser’s role has been to evaluate painting, sculpture, drawings and graphics. But there are not many gold grains – which has now made him sad.

– The same year I got sick I couldn’t join. Now I feel done with it, and this summer will be the last. The antique round is a big circus that goes around, it is quite stressful to drive all over Sweden, get up all day and value everything from pure debris – about 95 percent of things – to “maybe a matisse”. I will miss the community about that, we have fun together. I usually say that 349 days a year we are competitors who try to fool each other, on the Antikrundan we are idle friends, he says to Home Journal.
