CKHA reopens outdoor visiting spaces in Chatham and Wallaceburg

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance reopened its outdoor space for visiting with patients at both its Chatham and Wallaceburg hospital sites on Friday.

Both sites will offer visiting outdoor from 10 am to 6 pm, seven days a week (weather permitting), for eligible patients on all inpatient units, states a media release.

The care team in collaboration with the patient and care partner will determine if the patient is safe to participate in outdoor visits, the CKHA said. Patients who are permitted outdoor visiting will be accompanied to and from the outdoor visiting space by their care partner and can have additional visitors outdoors at that time.

Visitors, care partners and patients will be asked to remain masked and distanced during their visit and to refrain from consuming food and drink.

For more information, contact the Patient & Family Communication Liaison Office by telephone: 519-352-6400 ext. 6917 or email [email protected].

Availability is subject to spacing and seating.
