In recent weeks, there have been regular reports of deaths in Russian attacks. On Sunday, three civilian deaths were reported in one place and on Friday at least four people were killed in a robot attack.
A hundred attacks – in one day
On Monday morning, Russia is reported to have attacked communities in Zaporizhzhya several hundred times in the course of a day. According to the Ukrainian authorities, there have been some kind of airstrikes, drone attacks and artillery fire on a wide front. The shelling is constant, according to Ukraine’s military.
On Sunday, Russia sounded the alarm about a drone attack on the large and occupied nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya, which it blamed on Ukraine. It was rejected on the Ukrainian side. The sides have long accused each other of carrying out risky attacks at and around the nuclear power plant, which is one of the largest in the world and is located on the Dnieper River, which is also a front line there.
The region of Zaporizhzhya is partially occupied by the Russian invasion forces, but the city of the same name is still under Ukrainian control. The front line cuts through the region.
