At least three civilian casualties have been claimed in new Russian attacks in the far west of Ukraine. Projectiles were shot down by Ukrainian defenses over Lviv and Volyn counties, but residential buildings were still hit, according to Ukrainian authorities.

“There is a fire on the upper floors. We are evacuating people. All services are in place,” writes Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyj on Telegram.

In Volyn, three people have been killed, says county governor Jurij Pogulialko. Volyn is located in the far north-west of the country, and thus borders Poland.
