And a question that often comes up is “ why Monusco has not yet deployed in Kishishe a week after the events ? Contacted by RFI, the UN mission did not give details of its commitment in the field. However, it claims that it has deployed blue helmets in Nyanzale and Rwindi, near Kishishe.
UN Field Investigation
Monusco also provides support to a team of investigators from the United Nations joint human rights office, a component on which UN officials insist. This team has been deployed about twenty kilometers from Kishishe since Saturday. She questions survivors and other witnesses and will complete her field mission this Thursday, December 7 in the evening.
NGO investigations are also ongoing. But all are faced with the same difficulties, the most important of which is the impossibility for the moment of accessing Kishishe.
