Michael Bradley will join the City of Brantford as commissioner of community development.
Bradley was formerly the CAO of the County of Brant, a position he resigned from last November.
“The city’s community development commission plays a crucial role in enhancing the municipality’s quality of life, economic prosperity and sustainable development through the planning, economic development, tourism and cultural initiatives, building, and bylaw departments,” said a news release issued by the city .
Mayor Kevin Davis welcomed Bradley to his new role.
“We’re fortunate to have secured the expertise and leadership of such a highly accomplished and experienced municipal administrator to oversee and guide these critical city departments.”
Born and raised in Brantford, Bradley was involved in several of Brant County’s recent accomplishments, including the Green Energy Accord with Six Nations of the Grand River, significant planning milestones and the development of Brant Municipal Enterprises Inc.
“I’m eager to collaborate with staff, businesses and organizations to create a lasting impact on the community we serve,” said Bradley.
He will join the city on June 19.
