Citroën has now set a new record in monthly sales volume with its performance in May. The brand, which increased its sales by 581 percent in May compared to the same month of 2022, achieved an important success in the world of Citroën with its sales of 8 thousand 528 units. With this sales volume, the Turkish market, which has risen to the position of Citroën’s second highest selling country in the world, has succeeded in entering the top 5 countries globally in the first 5 months.

Making statements about the process, Türkiye General Manager Selen Alkım; “The sales of the Citroën brand in Turkey grew by 581 percent in the aforementioned period. When we look at the 5-month results as of the end of May, while the Turkish market grew by 60.5 percent, we, as Citroën, grew by 130 percent and reached a total of 24 thousand 16 sales. Therefore, the process until the end of May was very successful for us. The target of “We want to see Turkey in the top 5 in the world of Citroën by 2025” was given from the global center. We entered the top 5 countries at the end of April 2023. Adding the latest figures, we ranked second globally in the list of countries in May, and strengthened our position at the 5th place globally in the first 5 months. In May, 34 percent of our sales consisted of commercial vehicles with 2 thousand 921 units. While the commercial vehicle market grew by 130 percent in the first 5 months, we grew by 300 percent by increasing our sales in every segment we are in.” he stated.
