(Finance) – CircleInnovative SME listed on the Euronext Growth Milan market, has announced that Magellan Circle contributed to the organization and realization of the event “Seas to Skies Conference: Greening ports and airports in the EU” as a partner of one of the organizing projects. The event was held in Brussels And Antwerp on December 3 and 4.
With over 200 participants over the two days, the event was organized by EU-funded projects under the Green Deal Call – PIONEERS and STARGATE in collaboration with the twin port and airport projects financed under the same call MAGPIE, OLGA, TULIPS. Since the European Union has set goals ambitious and has allocated some funding through the Green Deal call to support pioneering research projects that can accelerate the transition towards a more sustainable transport sector, all these innovative projects must address different challenges by demonstrating new technologies, establishing sustainable business models and creating plans to spread these innovations throughout Europe. In this regard, the event represented an opportunity to discuss common barriers and lessons learned so far, as well as to explore the results of the 5 Green Deal projects that are paving the way for more sustainable competitive solutions.
As part of the “Seas to Skies Conference” event, Magellan Circle contributed as a leader for the cooperation transversecommunication and dissemination for PIONEERS. The event, lasting two days, saw interventions by representatives of DG MOVE, DG RTD, CINEA; in parallel, other sessions were dedicated to the presentation of innovations concrete through demonstrations in all projects, and both days offered the opportunity to visit an exhibition space dedicated to “Marketplace Mobility & digitization” And “Marketplace Energy transition & Environmental quality”.
“These projects represent a real starting point in the EU decarbonisation journey in the port and airport sector. We are therefore proud to contribute to this challenge with our leading role in cross-cutting cooperation and dissemination in PIONEERS, creating opportunities for connection and sharing lessons learned, such as this event. Furthermore, our commitment and determination to be protagonists of this journey is fully aligned with the objectives we have presented in our Connect 4 Agile Growth strategic plan”, he declared.
