(Finance) – In February 2022, a total of approximately 64 million hours Of CIG. The hours of ordinary layoffs authorized in February 2022 were 18.4 million. In January 26 million hours had been authorized: consequently, the cyclical variation is -29.3%. As of February 2021, the authorized hours had been 26.2 million. This is what emerged from the INPS Cig Observatory published today.

The number of hours of extraordinary layoffs authorized in February 2022 amounted to 24.4 million, of which 11.7 for solidarity, with an increase of 128.6% compared to that authorized in the same month of the previous year (10.7 million hours). In February 2022, compared to the previous month, there was an economic change of + 51.6%. The interventions of layoffs in derogation they amounted to 3.8 million hours authorized in February 2022. The cyclical change compared to the previous month recorded a decrease of 81.4%. In February 2021 the hours authorized in derogation were 67.7 million with a trend variation of -94.5%.

The number of hours authorized in February 2022 in solidarity funds it amounted to 17.5 million and recorded a decrease of 21.2% compared to the previous month. In February 2021 the authorized hours were 68.7 million with a trend variation of -74.6%.

The total number of hours of redundancy fund authorized in the period from 1 April 2020 to 28 February 2022, for emergency sanitary, amounted to 6,639.1 million, of which 2,734.5 million of ordinary CIG, 2,411.5 million for the ordinary allowance of solidarity funds and 1,493.1 million of CIG in derogation. In February 21.7 million hours were authorized, with the cause of the “COVID-19 health emergency”. The figure shows a decrease of 56.8% compared to the authorized hours in January. As for the ordinary layoffs, the sectors that absorb the greatest number of authorized hours are “textile and clothing industries” with 674 thousand hours and “leather and footwear” with 106 thousand hours.
